ASCA is extending an invitation to qualified candidates for the role of the Nationals Stockdog Data Entry Clerk for our 2024 National Specialty in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Role Description:
This position involves receiving entry data from both the ASCA Nationals Entry Clerk and the Business Office specifically for the Stockdog Nationals and possibly for the Stockdog Finals. The selected candidate will then incorporate this data into the designated computer program. The role necessitates close collaboration with our 2024 Nationals Stockdog Chair, Ms. Carol Gerken, ensuring she has all pertinent information to successfully orchestrate the 2024 Nationals Stockdog Trial and Finals. Moreover, this role plays an integral part in relaying Stockdog results to both the Business Office and the Aussie Times Editor. All relevant reports will be dispatched via email when required. This is a contract-based position with all duties stipulated in the finalized contract.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent time management.
- Proficient in word processing and data entry.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet management.
- Effective, prompt communication and exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- A comprehensive understanding of ASCA’s Stockdog program and rules, including the intricacies of Stockdog Finals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Compensation:
ASCA offers a compensation package based on entry fees processed, with additional provisions for any budgeted expenses. Detailed compensation terms are as follows:
- $1.25 for each Stockdog entry processed.
- Reimbursement for any budgeted expenses incurred during the role, including meals, lodging, travel, office supplies, postage, or otherwise. However, prior authorization from the Nationals Chair and submission of relevant receipts are required for such reimbursements.
- Should ASCA necessitate the utilization of specialized/proprietary software, it will be provided by ASCA.
- An initial sum of $300 will be dispatched to the clerk upon the opening of entries.
- The balance of the fee owed will be settled with the clerk within two weeks of the final submission of the Stockdog Nationals and Finals results.
ASCA will issue the clerk with a 1099-MISC form for the fees disbursed. In return, the clerk is expected to promptly submit a completed W-9 to ASCA.
