Urgent Reminder: ASCA Sanctioning Deadlines

Dear Affiliate Clubs,

We are writing to reiterate important information concerning the sanctioning deadlines for events held by your club.

As of November 1, 2021, we returned to our standard sanctioning deadline of sixty days prior to an event. We believe that this sufficient time will allow for the proper organization, management, and implementation of your respective events.

However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent timely sanctioning requests. To accommodate this, sanctioning requests received between forty-five to sixty days prior to an event will be accepted but with the payment of a fine. The fine structure is as follows: $25 per day for the first three days and $50 per day thereafter, applicable after the sixty-day postmark deadline or past the sixty-day electronic receipt deadline.

It is critical to note that sanctioning requests received by the Business Office less than forty-five days prior to a sanctioned event will not be accepted under any circumstances. We encourage you to be diligent in adhering to these deadlines to ensure that your events run smoothly and successfully.

Lastly, we would like to remind you of the consequences of repeated late sanctioning requests. Clubs that submit delinquent sanctioning requests three times will lose all late sanctioning privileges for a period of two years. This is a significant penalty that can impact your club’s operations, so we urge you to avoid this situation by ensuring timely sanctioning requests.

These deadlines and associated penalties are a crucial part of our regulations and are meant to facilitate orderly and successful events for all. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or need further clarification.

Thank you for your attention to these important matters and for your ongoing dedication to the ASCA community.

Sincerely,
Kalla Jaco
ASCA Executive Secretary
