Applications Open for 2028 ASCA National Specialty Chair

Applications are now open for the position of Chair of the 2028 ASCA National Specialty, which will be held September 6-12, 2028, at The Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia.

The Nationals Chair provides overall leadership and oversight for the planning and execution of the National Specialty. The Chair will work closely with the Nationals Event Coordinator, Nationals Task Force, Event Chairs, Accounting Chair, Business Office, and Board Liaison to ensure that planning remains organized and the event runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include guiding the overall planning process, helping develop and maintain the event budget, approving expenses, supporting Event Chairs, monitoring deadlines, maintaining communication with the Board of Directors, and helping resolve issues that arise during planning and at the event.

Applicants should have prior experience serving on an ASCA National Specialty Committee, a strong understanding of ASCA’s rules, policies, and procedures, and excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A positive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to providing an enjoyable Nationals experience for exhibitors, volunteers, and attendees are also important.

Applicants do not need to live in Virginia to be considered for the position.
