ASCA Committees
ASCA’s committees play an important role in supporting and strengthening the organization’s programs. Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors and provide valuable experience, recommendations, and guidance in their respective program areas.

Committee Appointments
Program Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors during the Spring Board Meeting for two-year terms. Applicants must hold a current Full ASCA membership.
Committees generally consist of no more than 15 members, including the Chairperson. Whenever possible, committees are composed to provide broad geographic representation, with a goal of at least one and no more than two members from each ASCA region.
The Stockdog Committee follows a unique structure consisting of seven active ASCA Stockdog trial contestants and five ASCA-approved Stockdog Judges. One contestant is appointed from each of the seven geographic regions, while judges are appointed at large.

Applications to join an ASCA Program Committee may be submitted to the Executive Secretary at any time throughout the year. In addition to maintaining a current Full ASCA membership, applicants should have experience as a participant, competitor, or judge in the program for which they are applying.
